giveaway!!

Firstly, thank you so much for the lovely comments about mum’s giraffe! Mum decided, with help from me and the kids, to call her Georgie. Perfect!

Kids with hubby at Crocosaurus Cove

Fresh water crocodile at Territory Wildlife Park

My Mum and little boy one

My sister and little girl one #2

Big one and little girl one #2

Secondly, we have had an amazing week with my mum and sister. I am, however, feeling very sad and flat since they left. I miss them so much L

And because I am feeling so flat, because I have had such amazing luck lately and because Territory Day is on Wednesday, I’m having a giveaway!! Just some fabric, handmade cards and whatever else I have hanging around. And something I picked up today at the craft market in the big town. Especially for the lucky someone. So all you need to do is comment on this post, perhaps about something you do to cheer yourself up, and I will randomly select someone on Wednesday night. After the fireworks that is J Happy to post anywhere! Good luck! xox

Hey there Bianca!
I'm not going to enter the giveaway, ok? Because I figure I have already got a LOT from you.
Been playing that pianola like it's going out of style!

Just saying hi, and sorry to hear you're feeling blue. Very cute pics of the kids.
Did you go to Parap market or something? I've been to Mindil 3 times this week and am well and truly over it (for now).

You doing something special for Territory Day?

I recommend sex and chocolate ..and lots of it ;) Actually this Chocolate brownie I'm eating right now is working a real treat!

Oh you lot are making me Territory sick :( It's been years since I went to Mindil beach markets at sunset ..now I'm going to have to eat more chocolate!

Chocolate or whatever you love best of course. Seriously though, throwing yourself into helping someone else will help to banish the blues. You could make something for someone if you can't think of anything else.

Great pics of the family! I know how you feel - my family live a distance away from us, and I always feel miserable for days after they've been to stay (or when we've come home from visiting them).

To cheer myself up I get one of my stitching projects out and spend a selfish hour or two sewing... Progress on a long-abandoned project always makes me feel better. I'm easily pleased. :)

It looks like you had an awesome week with your mum. It's always sad to come home. I love territory wild life park. I just spent two weeks in the NT one in Gove, one in Darwin and came home Saturday and feel so totally blissed out.

My friends got married thursday afternoon and I'm so totally bummed I didn't make it to mindil markets as I haven't been in years.

Chocolate! You need lots and lots of chocolate! Really really loud music can help to! As for my quilt, I am using this tutorial http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/02/stacked-coins-baby-quilt.html

What is Territory Day? :-) I don't really get down all that often but I always like to take a stroll through my garden after a long day at work and see how much everything has grown :-)

I live approx 10 hours from my nearest and dearest so can relate to your post visit blues. Cheery music and brght flowers in the house help, as does keeping busy.

The pictures of your little ones are very cute to see Bianca. Sorry to hear your family have gone and you are feeling sad. When I am sad I usually eat chocolate, go to my favourite scrapbooking shop and buy something pretty and talking it over with my hubby and my best friends. It's good to have a chat.

Shorts and t-shirts!! I am very jealous of the weather. I am glad you have booked tickets later in the year - at least you can look forward to seeing them soon.

Territory day is a public holiday to celebrate when the Northern Territory became self governed.

It's also the only day you are allowed to buy fireworks {as many as you like} and set them off where ever you want. Always a fun night but leaves your pocket feeling a bit empty.

Hi Bianca, I followed a comment from Mel's blog : ) To cheer myself up in our grey winter months I do try to have some colour in the form of potted flowers on my table as a bright spot.

Cheering oneself up? Fabric stash adoration.... combined with chocolate and secreting myself away in the sewing room, uninterrupted. Unfortunately this doesn't happen very often at all, so I have to suffice with putting some of my fave music on really loud! Hope you find something to cheer yourself with. :)

looks like you had heaps of fun. I too would recommend grabbing the kids, put on some cheesey music really loud and dance/sing around the lounge with ya kids.
The more ya make a clown of ya self the better.
Thanks for the give away and enjoy fireworks night!!!

I have been so excited for you all day with the prospect of setting off some fireworks! I know you'll have the hose ready so Andrew can't blow up the house, the kids or the yard... and that it's dangerous and all that stuff, but I remember these great fireworks that made a whistling sound as they went round and round - I think they were called Catherine Wheels. And the ones that were a bit like sparklers, but lasted longer, and you could write your name in the air with them and it would stay there. Oh, they were the good ol' days! I reckon I was about 5 years old when I last saw backyard fireworks. That is, apart from all the illegal ones I saw for NYE 2000 on the Mornington Peninsular foreshore! it would be fun to do it again, but I guess as a parent I would probably freak at the prospect of my kids being anywhere near them! Good luck, and have fun!
