"woohoo!"

Did you hear that?? It was me. At the postie.
I love my postie
It has arrived..

Far Far and Away from the lovely Corrie at Retro Mummy

If you follow my tweets you will know I couldn't decide which ones to get, how much to get etc. So I just got the lot!! Fat quarter cuts.
Thinking about a quilt. Like this one or this one. For the big girl!

And as a little extra, for spending all my fabric budget for the next 6 months with her, Corrie slipped in this gorgeous Melly & Me pattern!! So kind Corrie :)

But it will have to wait. Have other things to finish first....xox

Yes I did. I did drool just a little bit at that pile of g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s fabric! While it will make a beautiful quilt, it's just lovely to sit and look at that fabric as is!

Hi there, greetings from Canberra!!
I just found you from Corrie's Retro Mummy blog, she's ace isn't she??!! i actually get to meet her in person, really, when we visit Sydney, she's so much fun!! I have the same collection of fabrics, you have great taste!!
Well hello there mother of four in Darwin, you are living my old life. We have spent 2 postings & collectively 6.5 years in Darwin (Winnellie Army Housing) & we had all 4 of my children up there, with the fabulous Dr Andrew Miller. My husband was never home either, but gosh you make great friends with the mummies don't you??
Your photos look so familiar. Our eldest is a July baby & had pool parties for years, hard to believe that now we're in Canberra & today was 7C with gale force winds & horizontal rain.
I miss Darwin, the atmosphere, the fun, the swimming all year round, the crocodiles, sigh. No one looked at me strangely for having lots of children either. My children just had the most fun, barefoot life up there, it's their home town.
Oh well, next stop is Brisbane for 2011. We can defrost then.
All the best, love Posie

One of my best friends lives in Darwin so if you don't mind I might give her your blog addy to have a look, she is more a paper crafter but does a little sewing :)
