did someone say 20% off?

Oh yes they did! Spotlight had 20% off Thursday-Friday. And with my brother here and happy to watch the kidlets, off I went! Hey, I'm still restocking! Don't judge me ;)

Along with loads of boring purchases like interfacing, thread, magic blue markers etc I found these fabric sorters...

So I thought I'd give them ago!

Pretty cool I reckon. Only thing is I tend to buy 1/2m or fat 1/4 and they are really too big for those. Guess I'll have to buy bigger cuts :) {joking hubby!}

And the fabric on the very left is a fake Liberty of London. All 4 1/2m of it, purchased with 20%, of course ;)

I also got fabric for ice cream dresses for the 2 youngest girls

The purple for Miss 7 and the pink and blue for Miss 2 :) I have plenty so thinking skirts too. Plus after Kate and Mel's post and tweets on the Molly Dress I thought I too would give it ago. Best thing about this pattern is it's a download and it comes in heaps of sizes.

Molly2

And they also a grown up size too!! Did someone say matchy matchy ;)

Only problem is.....I have no elastic!! Guess I'll have to go back then ;) xox

Oh!!! I love the fabric sorters! I've never seen them in Spotlight before! Are they new?

That fake Liberty fabric is so pretty! The dresses will look lovely from it:)

Great spotlight fabric finds - I didn't find anything great this week - will have to have a look in Perth next week.

I'd heard about the fake Liberty but it was all gone by Friday. Nice choices and the sorters look great!

Love the fabric sorters! Love that dress pattern too, I have the tunic patterns but I think I might *need* that dress pattern too.

Ooh - love the fabric sorters. I've never seen them at Spotlight before either. I always leave Spotlight thinking I should have got some of this or that (elastic, thread etc.)

You are such a bad influence.....I just went and checked out the pattern and bought it. Like I don't have twenty things I need to make already!

You're making a nice dent in your 'replacing' the fabric from the fire mission. You go girl. Say hello to Spotlight in Darwin for me, i'm sure they miss my children sorting the buttons into colours for them. Love Posie

Oh yeah, how gorgeous does your fabric look all wound up nicely! Bigger cuts for sure.

I love the Molly Dress too! I have it on my wish list (hubby says I have to complete a bunch of things that I have already started before I can take on any new projects). Sigh. Happy sewing! :)
