Dotty Spotty

Dotty Spotty is all finished :)

Quilted in diaganal lines

Srips of colour on the back so if it's used on the floor it wont show up too much dirt :)

Finished size is about 110cm. Overall happy with it. Still not sold on the unisex thing...
What do you think? Would you call this unisex?

And another thing.....how do you take good photo's of quilts?! Seriously, I suck at it lol! xox

sunday stash #3

Happy Sunday folks :)
I hope where ever you are you are having a wonderful day.
Currently hubby and I are sitting outside, listening to the neighbours mow their lawns, our children playing (nicely at times) and thinking about tidying. We are good at thinking about it ;)

This week, Quite Contrary by The Quilted Fish for Riley Blake

I love this range! Girlie but not babyish.

I would have loved the lot but I was good and only got 8 prints from the range.
All from Hawthorne Threads

Tomorrow I have another quilt top to show you. I've finished 2 in 24 hour

sunday stash #1

It seems that I am having trouble getting back into the swing of blogging. My first real blogging rut in 1 1/2 years! So, whats a blogger to do??

Plan. And routine. Dirty words in my house ;)

Because not blogging feels weird. Like I'm missing something. Or someone.

Missing family :)

So Sunday stash it is! And maybe taking pictures of all my lovely fabric will encourage me to actually use it and stop stashing it!!

My first Sunday stash is my latest addition

Purchased from Hawthorne Threads

Soon to be baby girl quilts, if the quilting mojo ever returns xox

My Creative Space

This week I have new fabric to play with!

They are the cutest lot of Japanese prints yet! Little red riding hood and wizard of oz are my new absolute favorites!!
All from Retro Mummy and I'm sorry to say she has sold out on some of these :(

So, all of these are in the process of being cut up ready to make into wraps. For Corrie. Who is going to take them to Mathilda's Market. And Handmade Market, Canberra. And Allie's Attic. And anywhere else she is going to be this year!!!!!!! YAY!!
And that my blogging friends is my news. I am very very excited!!! Obviously I don't live where a lot of the handmade action is happening and it is so wonderful that Corrie is happy to take them with her. And, fingers crossed, you may even see me in Sydney this year with Corrie!! That would be totally awesome!!

Now I'm off to cut, sew repeat (and the flower girl dresses are drafted...that's a start!)
More creative spaces over here. Thanks Kirsty :) xox

ta-da!

All tidy! Woohoo!
Gotta love inspections, 5 hours of cleaning and tidying for a 5 min walk through!

In other news....
I have been suffering. Terribly.
I have lost my sew mojo.
Yep, gone :(
I have read blog after blog, book after book and mag after mag hoping I would find it. But no...
I even forced myself to find it and just sew something to see if that would work. But no....

So I am without my sewing mojo...
If you happen to see it can you please return it? I miss it :(

...lessons

Well I'm back!
Not that I really went anywhere, just been so SO busy! So hopefully over the weekend I can finally catch up on emails and blog reading. I miss seeing what you all all up to :)

I have learnt some interesting lessons over the past few weeks

People really do like what I make. And will actually give me money!

My husband and kids are more patient then I even imagined.

Never EVER list something you have yet to make, as things very quickly snow ball and the next thing you know you are pulling all nighter's to finish orders! True story...

There will be people that will copy what you do and sell it. Having no understanding or appreciation for how long you have worked on something to get it right. Karma will get you. Mark my words.
Note - talking about someone that I gave a wrap to as a gift, copied it and is now selling in the big town. Not those sellers on madeit/etsy etc. We are all selling different products and that is cool :)

And I heart Jacob. More then Edward. And not just because he takes his shirt off...ALOT! And yes Brooke, I know he is only 17 ;)

These are in to my madeit shop.
Have a great weekend.
Don't forget to enter my give away! xox

mummy made me do it!

Retro Mummy that is! And husband if you are reading this STOP NOW, it will only end in tears...

I'm sure you all know Corrie has re-opened her shop and I have been doing a little shopping....

My first ever Japanese craft books! Have had these for awhile now. Love love love them! Have yet to sew anything from them. Like Corrie said thou, lots of detailed instructions and there are more than a few I am confident I could do.

Sorry, I don't remember what this on is called, lovely bags, home wares etc. Love the slippers.

Love these little bags, think they will make cute little gifts for the girls friends..

and these too!

Cotton Time!
Heaps of lovely things in here. I asked Corrie what would be a good first Japanese craft book and this was one of her suggestions.

Can't wait to get stuck into this one, will need to do a few others pattern first, after all I don't read Japanese :P

See the little window in the back of the bag!! So so cute!

And this little guy....

and even umbrella's!

And these arrived this week! Aren't they the cutest!

Boy one is bursting at the seams for me to make something out of the patchwork fabric with trains on it, had to fight him off it so I could have a good look!

And these are from spotlight. Belinda posted about them awhile again in true Territory style they have just arrived and I now have my fix.

Husband, if you did read this it is your own fault and I'm not apologising, you were warned! xox
